IEEE’s Spoken Language Technology conference (SLT2018) will be organised for the first time in Europe in Athens, Greece.
The biennial workshop will be organised by NCSR Demokritos (SKEL lab, II&T) with Dr. Vangelis Karkaletsis serving as one of the Chairs of the conference that takes place at Royal Olympic Hotel from 18 – 21 December 2018.

As part of the special theme, the committee particularly welcomes the submission of papers that address challenges and limitations in current deep learning approaches, and opportunities for overcoming them (including but not limited to hybrid approaches using deep learning and traditional knowledge-based methods).
