On Wednesday 13 October 2021 NCSR Demokritos & Qualco announced the launch of their collaboration in promoting Innovation by utilising Artificial Intelligence and Big Data management technologies to meet business challenges in the field of financial technology (FinTech).

The Deputy Minister for Research and Technology, Mr Christos Dimas, together with the Secretary General of Research and Innovation, Mr Athanasios Kyriazis, have visited the premises of NCSR Demokritos to attend the launch event that took place at the premises of NCSR Demokritos. The event was hosted by the Director of NCSR Demokritos, Dr G. Nounesis, while the Vice-president and Director of the Institute of Information and Telecommunications, Dr V. Karkaletsis, the Director of Qualco, Mr O. Tsakalotos, the CEO, Mr M. Georgantzis and the Deputy COO, Mr A. Karastergios were also attended.

The main goal of this collaboration is to support young researchers to delve into their research in the Fintech field using AI and Big Data, two of the research areas that the Institute of Informatics and Telecommunications is extremely active.
