In the frame of the 6th Hellenic Forum for Science Technology and Innovation, Dr. Vangelis Karkaletsis organises a workshop titled “The role of Research e-infrastructures in the National Research Agenda”. The workshop will take place at the Central Amphitheater of NCSR “Demokritos”, on Tuesday 10 July 2018 between 14:00 – 18:00.

Research e-infrastructures are essential for advancing research in the physical and computational sciences where data and processing requirements are significant and ever-increasing. During the last decade EC has invested in planning and developing Europe-wide research e-infrastructures and platforms to increase research output via increased integration and uptake across country borders. This arrangement however can only benefit the Greek research community if the participating national research infrastructures are themselves adequate, focused and useful. This workshop will present current issues and directions in strengthening the role of national research e-infrastructures.
