The Annual Forum of the smartHEALTH EDIH took place on Wednesday 17 and Thursday 18 January 2024 at the Congress Centre of NCSR Demokritos. The Forum was organised by the ahedd Digital Innovation Hub and was open to all.

On Wednesday  morning, Dr. George Nounesis, Director and Chairman of the Board of the National Centre for Scientific Research “Demokritos”, welcomed the participants of the smartHealth Annual Forum.

The round table discussion Artificial Intelligence and its impact on the Health sector was moderated by Dr. Anastasia Krithara, IIT collaborating researcher with participants Dr. Vangelis Karkaletsis, Director of IIT and Member of the High Level Advisory Committee for Artificial Intelligence, Dimitris Athanassiou, Member of the Board of Directors of the Hellenic Patients’ Association, Lilian Mitrou, Professor at the University of the Aegean, Terpsithea Papanikolaou, Lawyer, Advisor to the National Institute of Artificial Law Intelligence “Rythmisis”, and Haris Papageorgiou, Director of Research at ATHENA RC/ILSP.

On Thursday SKEL | The AI Lab, organised a workshop titled Drug-Drug Interaction Prediction based on semantically integrated disease-specific knowledge, with presenters Dr. Anastasia Krithara, Dr. Fotis Aisopos and Anastasios Nentidis, collaborating researchers at IIT, NCSR Demokritos.
